Most individuals who are excessively overweight tend to over indulge in too much of the wrong foods and do not eat a balance meal rich in protein and complex carbohydrates. These individuals are usuall seditary which adds to the problem one will usually gain more weight if they consume more than they burn off.

Dieting is difficult because it forces us to change bad eating habits dramatically which can seems like intense punishment for the duration of the diet. In most cases most people do not stick to a diet because of the dramatic change in eating habit is difficult to sustain and even if the individual is successful in sticking to the diet they revert back to their bad eating habits once the dieting period has ran its course.
